So.....Welcome to my fabulous new - my heart is in the country blog!! This makeover marks a change in more ways than one.....you will notice a bigger bent towards all things country from this point forward. We are getting ready to make our move, honing our skills and giving ourselves over to the country dream. I will be posting more about homemaking skills, frugal and simple living and going a little deeper in my walk with God than I have in the past.....I hope you will hang around and join me!! And please by all means - suggestions and ideas about what you would like to see are most welcomed!!
It is an absolutely gorgeous day in North Alabama.....71 F currently - I just shut the a/c off and threw open every window in the house - there is a beautiful breeze and I have laundry drying on the patio - life is good!
In my last post I mentioned that I was going to be doing a giveaway......I have been so blessed by Lisa's generosity that I have decided it would be only fitting on my first post with my 'new look' to do a giveaway of my own - a 'pay it forward' gesture in a manner of speaking. To stick with the theme of all things homemade, country, simple and down right wonderful let me share something with you that The Principal, WonderBoy and I have been dabbling in over the past 6 or so months....
Here The Principal prepares the brew......any guesses?

Oh my goodness. Leisha, you are so STINK'N Cute! I love the new blog and love that you made soap with the ingredients right out of your garden. You ROCK!
Leisha! I needed to see this today... you lifted my spirits as always. I love you my friend. We need to get together!
Thanks for inviting me Leisha! I didn't know that you blogged, but I am glad I know now!

All that country is making me homesick for grandma's farm! Very cute!!! :-D
I love, love, love the new look! And I'm so impressed with your soap making skills. I can't wait to read more of your country life adventures!
Lovely new blog and that soap looks amazing! I'd love to win!
GREAT job on the soap! I hope to do that some day! And I love the idea of making strong tea to flavor the soap. I'd love to win the giveaway and try it out! Are you going to share the recipe?
Gina
Gina - I am planning another post with a little more detail about the soap making process and the recipe ;-)
Love the new look, hope to win the soap since I was kinda promised a bar of it ages ago. :)
~Jess
Jess - you were ;-) If we hadn't done so much talking when you were here one of us may have remembered!!! I'm good for it - I promise. I'll send 2 bars if you win - fair enough ? ;-)
The blog is VERY cute and how exciting is a move to the country. We would LOVE to do that ourselves. I'm looking forward to your posts (and am enjoying reading over some of your older ones).
